The 14th World Titanium Expo was held in France |
From June 10th to 14th, the 14th World Titanium Fair was held in Nantes, France. Nearly 700 experts and scholars from 34 countries and regions around the world engaged in titanium alloy metallurgy, materials, manufacturing, aerospace, ocean engineering, petrochemical, biomedical and other related fields participated in the conference, jointly conducting academic exchanges on titanium and titanium alloys. More than 130 attendees from China attended the conference. The theme of the branch includes 11 fields, including extraction metallurgy, smelting and casting, semi-finished product processing and component manufacturing, additive manufacturing and near net forming technology, alloy composition performance relationship, microstructure evolution, intermetallic compounds and titanium matrix composites, environmental behavior, aerospace applications, biomedical applications, marine engineering petrochemical and other applications. The conference set up a total of 7 Plenary reports, introducing the research progress of titanium alloys in China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Russia, Germany, and France. Professor Chang Hui, a member of the Organizing Committee of the World Titanium Congress in China, Vice Dean of the School of Materials at Nanjing University of Technology, and Vice Dean of the New Materials Research Institute, delivered a report titled "Current situation of titanium research, developments and applications in China". The conference has 14 keynote speeches, Academician Wang Huaming from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and researcher Yang Rui from the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively made keynote reports on Scientific and technological advances no additive manufacturing of high performance large economic structural components for the aerospace industries and Near netshape forming of Ti Al based inter metallic alloys. The conference set up 394 oral reports, of which 99 were from Chinese scholars. There are a total of 85 wall posters, including 34 Chinese scholar wall posters. |
